چکیده
An investigation was carried out to study the feasibility of using synthesized acid-bearing carbonaceous catalyst (SO 3 H–C and PO 4 H 2 –C) derived from cassava peel for biodiesel production waste cooking oil (WCO). The activity tested an autoclave type reactor three different alcohol ratios (1 : 3, 1 5 7) at four temperatures (50–80 °C) h. Two types (i.e. methanol (CH OH) ethanol C were used understand efficiency in process. indicates that reaction high ratio generally produced yield compared other ratios. also increased with increasing temperature over all systems. carbon modified sulphuric acid showed highest ~90 %, which obtained 80 °C a 7 WCO alcohol. It observed better yields reactions where significant differences across both ratio. catalysts characterized Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction surface area pore volume analyses. is interest because it green, non-toxic waste.

Transesterification of Waste Cooking Oil for Biodiesel Production Using Modified Clinoptilolite Zeolite as a Heterogeneous Catalyst
Reduction of fossil fuels sources, increasing of pollution gases emission, and global warming effects increase the demand of renewable fuels. One of the main candidates of alternative fuels is biodiesel. Biodiesel limits greenhouse gas effects due to the closed CO2 cycle. Biodiesel has more biodegradability, lower combustion emissions such as CO, SOx, HC, PM and lower toxicity than petro diesel...
متن کاملEnzymatic Alholysis For Biodiesel Production From Waste Cooking Oil
Huge efforts have been carried out in recent years in order to develop an alternative fuel from renewable resources, such as biodiesel fuel. Therefore, the use of cooking oil as raw material is a very interesting alternative for the production of biodiesel. In this work, waste frying oil was used as raw material for enzymatic biodiesel production. Moreover, this study analyzes the influence of ...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production from Waste Cooking Oil Using Sulfuric Acid and Microwave Irradiation Processes
A comparative study of biodiesel production from waste cooking oil using sulfuric acid (Two-step) and microwaveassisted transesterification (One-step) was carried out. A two-step transesterification process was used to produce biodiesel (alkyl ester) from high free fatty acid (FFA) waste cooking oil. Microwave-assisted catalytic transesterification using BaO and KOH was evaluated for the effica...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production from Used Cooking Oil
Production of biodiesel was involved transesterification process that implicated the reaction between used cooking oil and methanol with aid of KOH. The reaction was carried out at 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, and 120 min to evaluate the effect of reaction time on the yield of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME). The highest yield of FAME was obtained at reaction time 60 min. Besides that, the yi...

Solid nanocatalyst aluminum dodecatungstophosphate (Al0.9H0.3PW12O40, abbreviated as AlPW) with nanotube structure was synthesized through a natural cellulose fiber template. The AlPW nanotubes, which are highly water-tolerant and acid-tolerant, can be described as green double acids, as they combine both Brønsted and Lewis acid sites. They have been applied as an efficient nanoheterogeneous ca...
